Citizen of the United States or U.S. citizen means one of the following: (1) An individual who is a citizen of the United States or one of its possessions. (2) A partnership each of whose partners is an individual who is a citizen of the United States. (U.S. 14 CFR § 47.2)
Acceptable forms of ID for U.S. citizens who wish to conduct flight training in an aircraft weighing less than 12,500 lbs. are: ⦿ Valid, unexpired U.S. passport; ⦿ Original or government-issued birth certificate of the U.S., American Samoa, or Swains Island AND a government-issued picture ID; ⦿ Original certificate of birth abroad with raised seal (Form FS-545 or DS-1350) AND a government-issued picture ID; ⦿ Original certificate of U.S. citizenship with raised seal (Form N-560 or N-561) or a Certificate of Repatriation (Form N-581) AND government-issued pictured ID; ⦿ Original U.S. Naturalization Certificate with raised seal (Form N-550 or N-570) AND a government-issued picture ID
This is required for weight and balance, and determines things like which aircraft is scheduled, fuel levels, etc.
This will be used to assist in booking an aircraft at an airport near you.
